PATTANAPONG HIRUNARDLine Thailand is scaling up its free online video content service as the mobile messaging app company looks to capitalise on the rapid growth pace of online video advertising spending. Founded in late 2014, Line TV offers combined linear TV-like and YouTube-like video content. The number of users watching Line TV every day increased from 10% of total Line TV users last year to 59% in 2017. To further boost its audience, Line TV has added two more video content categories: beauty and sport. Half of Line TV users are aged 18-25, while 35% are 25-35 and the remainder are over 35.
